ATLANTA — A Blue Bird Next Generation 2012 propane-powered school bus will be among the vehicles featured during the Propane Clean Air Rally and Autogas Parade, which will take place here on Saturday.
The event will be held at Centennial Olympic Park. The rally will kick off the propane industry’s centennial celebration, while also sharing new technology that showcases the benefits of using propane.
The parade is scheduled to feature propane-powered on- and off-road vehicles of all types, including the school bus, a Hummer, a 1972 Buick GS “muscle car,” Ford, General Motors (GM) and Chrysler platform vehicles, police cruisers, forklifts and a golf cart.
A press conference held in the park amphitheater will follow the parade, and then attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a ride-and-drive event.
Supporters of the event include Clean Cities Atlanta, Roush CleanTech, Alliance Autogas, GM, CleanFUEL USA, TransTech Energy, AmeriGas, Blossman Propane Gas & Appliance, FerrellAutogas, and the Georgia and North Carolina propane gas associations.
