Spectivate LLC, a technology and management consultancy, has launched a free online tool for districts and school bus operators in the Empire State.
The New York School Bus Incentive Program (NYSBIP) Calculator is a web-based tool designed that helps determine eligibility for incentives through NYSBIP, administered by the New York State Energy Research Development Authority.
The calculator features:
Single Bus Voucher Calculator – For calculating the incentive amount for individual electric school buses.
Fleetwide Caps Calculator – To understand program limits for entire school districts.
Charging Voucher Calculator – To determine eligibility for charging infrastructure incentives.
Stacking Calculator – To demonstrate how NYSBIP incentives can be combined with other programs like EPA or Make-Ready incentives.
“At Spectivate, we are committed to helping school districts and other organizations transition to zero-emission vehicles efficiently and with confidence,” said Michael Backman, president of Spectivate. “The NYSBIP Calculator is designed to empower school districts and operators to quickly estimate their eligibility and access to New York State program funding that supports cleaner, quieter, and more efficient transportation for students.”
The calculator also provides a browsable list of NYSBIP-approved electric school buses, help features, and the ability to generate printable reports for users' records.
The calculator can be accessed online here.
