Application deadline nears for Ohio biodiesel grant program

COLUMBUS, Ohio — School districts interested in running their fleets on B20 biodiesel can receive financial assistance through the School Bus Soy Biodiesel Grant Program, which is administered by the Ohio Department of Development.
Districts are eligible for a maximum of $25,000. Applicants are required to provide information about their fleet and refueling practices and an estimate of the amount of B20 fuel to be used.
Grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis within four weeks of approval and will be paid on a reimbursement basis.
School officials can apply for the money through the Clean Air For Kids Website.
The Ohio Soybean Council, which promotes biodiesel use through the Clean Air for Kids campaign, is offering application assistance.
The deadline is May 31.
