Students splashed by diesel fuel from disabled bus

Seven Los Angeles students aboard a school bus on a field trip were sprayed by diesel from a malfunctioning fuel pump after the fuel line sustained damage and ruptured. They were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Hawaii may add back school buses to improve sport event scheduling

The Hawaii Department of Education is looking to help improve the scheduling of sporting events after the school bus contract for Oahu was cut, providing 33 fewer buses. School buses first have to get students home from school before they can pick up the teams and take them to their games, forcing high school football games to end close to midnight.

Pepper spray on school bus disrupts trip to volcano

The bus was en route to Washington's Mount St. Helens. After a student discharged pepper spray, the bus driver began to have trouble breathing but was able to pull over safely "before she became overwhelmed," according to the Washington State Patrol.
