Zonar announced its Bus Suite parent app is now available in French and Spanish, expanding access to real-time school transportation information for families in multilingual communities.
Zonar’s Bus Suite is a student transportation platform that integrates routing, operations, drivers, students, and parent communication into a single system. The platform includes route planning, live dispatch and monitoring, a driver mobile app with turn-by-turn navigation, and student ridership tracking through Z Pass.
The parent app provides visibility into bus location, arrival updates, and boarding events, allowing families to monitor transportation in real time.
Multilingual Access Expands Communication
The multilingual update enables parents and guardians to access bus tracking, route updates, and transportation notifications in their preferred language, supporting improved communication between districts and families.
“Parents rely on timely, accurate information to make daily decisions about their children’s well-being,” said Amit Anand, senior vice president of product at Zonar. “Expanding language access helps ensure more families can use and trust the information provided.”
Parents can select their preferred language within the app and switch languages at any time without assistance from the district.
The app provides real-time alerts on bus locations, estimated arrival times, and student boarding and exit notifications. It also allows districts to share updates on delays or route changes.
Zonar said the platform’s architecture supports additional language options in the future, allowing districts to further customize communication based on community needs.
