NACOGDOCHES, Texas — Local school bus driver Joe Page has been named the 2013 Texas Bus Driver of the Year by the Property Casualty Alliance of Texas (PCAT).
The Nacogdoches Independent School District bus driver won the award based on multiple attributes: leadership, attitude, perseverance, student and parent relationships, and technical skill.

The honor was presented to Page during a Nacogdoches school board meeting on June 20. He received a personalized plaque and a check for $1,000 from PCAT.
PCAT is a nonprofit school risk program that provides coverage for school property, students and employees throughout Texas.
The PCAT Texas Bus Driver of the Year award is presented annually to one bus driver from a PCAT member school district.
