ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — An investigation revealed that a school bus driver here who allowed a parent to enter a bus with students on board last month was given a one-day, unpaid suspension, WFTV reports.
According to witness statements, driver Mariel Osorio pulled over to let “an irate parent” board the bus, the news source reports. The parent demanded students’ names and phone numbers in connection with her child’s missing phone, according to WFTV.
In previous years, Osorio reportedly allowed unauthorized students to board the bus, and had been reprimanded for texting while driving and slamming on the brakes, the news source reports.
