Pioneer Power Solutions Inc. announced it received an order from a large U.S. public school district for 25 e-Boost Mobile units to support its electric school bus fleet. The order is valued at $7.1 million and could exceed $8 million with additional planned measures.

The company expects to deliver the systems in the first quarter of 2025. The units will support the district’s transition away from traditional fuel sources at its bus depot and toward a fully electric fleet.

Deployment Supports Fleet Electrification Goals

The initial deployment will support approximately 200 electric school buses as part of the district’s broader goal to electrify a fleet of more than 1,000 buses. The district operates more than 3,000 vehicles, including buses, trucks, cars, and vans.

The order was secured in collaboration with channel partner Eneridge Inc. following a competitive bidding process that evaluated cost, delivery timelines, and performance criteria, including sustainability, noise reduction, mobility, and resilience.

Each e-Boost Mobile unit includes eight Level 2 AC chargers capable of delivering 19.2 kW, designed for overnight charging. Mounted on trailers, the systems are intended for flexible deployment and will provide a combined 1.2 MWh of energy per night, or 30.7 MWh across the fleet.

Production and Growth Outlook

Pioneer said the order contributes to its backlog for early 2025 and supports expected growth in its eMobility business unit.

To meet demand, the company plans to expand partnerships with manufacturing firms to increase production capacity without adding new facilities.
