CINCINNATI — Long-running transportation provider Klug Bus Service now has a new owner and a new name: Queen City Transportation.

Ownership of the company, which was founded in 1957 by Lou Klug, changed hands last year. New owner Aaron Haid, a marketing professional from Cincinnati, has reportedly revamped the business with upgraded equipment and new marketing solutions while keeping the majority of the staff already employed by Klug Bus Service in place.

Haid has also combined the company’s two offerings, charter and school bus service, under one umbrella. In the past, they were two separate entities.

“While having two divisions has worked for the previous owners for years, I felt like we needed to have one brand that could carry any type of transportation service we might offer,” Haid said. “I wanted our customers to know we had more than just one solution for their transportation needs.”

Haid said that Queen City Transportation’s goals include continuing to provide reliable service, investing in new equipment and expanding services with other forms of transportation. The company is also in the process of getting back into the route business with school buses, doing more long-distance trips with motorcoaches and working with the many colleges and universities in the area.

Queen City Transportation currently has 35 school buses, 17 motorcoaches and three mini-buses.
