STRATFORD, Conn. — A high school bus was struck by a sheet of ice that fell off of a tractor-trailer on a freeway, shattering the windshield. The bus driver was able to successfully pull to the side of the road.
Bus driver Eli McNair and three students were transported to a hospital following the incident, the Connecticut Post reports. They were cut by glass and ice shards. One student also suffered a neck injury but was not seriously hurt. Thirty other students were transported to school by a second bus that was sent to the scene.
