Collins to present at Propane Engine Fuel Summit

Kent Tyler, president of the bus manufacturer, will speak to summit attendees this Thursday about the development and production of Collins’ NexBus Propane unit, and the benefits of propane propulsion in Type A buses.

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Collins Bus Corp. will present information on the development and production of its NexBus Propane Type A school bus at the Propane Engine Fuel Summit to be held this Wednesday and Thursday in Washington, D.C.

Kent Tyler, president of Collins Bus Corp., will participate in a panel discussion that will broadcast at 10:45 a.m. EST on Thursday. Moderated by Mike Taylor of Heritage Propane Inc., the discussion will focus on the use of propane engines in school bus operations. Tyler’s presentation will emphasize the advantages of propane propulsion in Type A buses.

“We are excited to be partnering with leaders in the propane industry to bring another innovative product to the school bus market. Our customers want clean fuel alternatives and Collins Bus Corp. is proud to offer the NexBus Propane as a solution for their small bus needs,” Tyler said.

The entire summit will offer information from leading manufacturers of propane-powered vehicles, dispensing equipment, fuel tanks and turn-key operators that will show transportation managers how the alternative fuel can offer sound economic and environmental solutions for their fleets. Additionally, government officials will explain how the federal government is helping with incentives for propane.

The panel discussion and other portions of the summit will be available via a live Webcast from the TV Worldwide Studios.
