FORT VALLEY, Ga. — IndustryWeek magazine named Blue Bird Corp.'s North Georgia Body Co. plant among the finalists in its 2007 "IW Best Plants" competition.
The La Fayette plant has been in operation since 1982 and currently manufactures the Blue Bird Vision model school bus body. It was selected from manufacturing facilities across North America for its dedication to continuous improvement and outstanding performance in safety, quality and productivity.
"We are pleased to be recognized for this award for the third year in a row," said Kevin Wood, the plant's general manager. "I believe it reaffirms our employees' teamwork and commitment."
IndustryWeek will select 10 winners of the competition from its list of finalists. Profiles of the top 10 plants will appear in its January 2008 issue.
