8 students treated after bus pepper spray incident
The students require medical attention after the substance is accidentally discharged on the bus. A police department spokesman says that to avoid such incidents, students who carry pepper spray should be informed on how to properly use it.
LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Pepper spray was discharged on a Carmody Middle School bus carrying nearly 50 students last Wednesday, according to Denver Westword.
Eight of the students required medical treatment after the incident. Lakewood police spokesman Steve Davis told the news source that no criminal charges are anticipated, as the spraying appeared to be accidental.
Davis also said that as more and more students carry pepper spray, it is important to educate them on how to use it properly.
