New series of fuel-operated heaters introduced
The Hydronic M Series has been added to Espar Heater Systems’ product line. These fuel-operated heaters have heat outputs of 8 kW, 10 kW and 12 kW to accommodate the variety of heat requirements for school buses. The 8-kW unit is designed to operate on biodiesel fuel, while the 12-kW unit can be mounted on a bus’ frame rail, allowing exhaust to be routed behind the bus’ rear wheels.

PC-rated clearance light released
The 177 Series DOT Light has been added to Peterson Manufacturing Co.’s line of single-diode Piranha LED clearance/sidemarker lights. The light is PC-rated, signifying that it can produce a light-spread that spans 180 degrees. It has a rotationally symmetric design and is available in red or amber. It also has a low-profile design and an operating range of 8 to 16 volts.

Updated fleet maintenance software available
Dossier 4.4 Fleet Maintenance Software has several upgrades. Its invoice data import feature enables users to import outside maintenance invoices and repair orders directly into the program. Its Vehicle Maintenance Recording Standards has over 1,200 new codes, many involving the bus body and off-highway sectors of the transportation and equipment industries.

Routing software for schools with limited enrollment
VersaTrans RP Limited Edition routing software is designed for school districts with limited enrollment. Its turn-key implementation service package allows customers to use the software immediately once it has been installed. Users then have a well-designed map to monitor bus routes.

Device enhances fleet, driver management
The Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) 860 enhances Navman Wireless Business Solutions’ vehicle tracking system. Using a Windows-based mobile workforce management interface, fleet managers can send text messages with en-route updates and directions to the MDT 860. Drivers receive the information in real time and can respond with customizable replies. The device can incorporate features for driver management and has numerous other features, including one-touch menu navigation and pop-up indicators for message alerts.

LED work lights offered
The HEMIPRO 2-LED and the HEMIPRO 3-LED are high-intensity, cordless LED work lights. They emit a 70-degree angle light beam from 50,000-hour LED lamps that is equal to the intensity of a 60- to 75-watt light bulb. Their hemispherical lenses allow light to be distributed evenly, preventing hotspots, dim areas and halo rings. All of the lights’ vital parts, including the lens shield, NiMH battery and the 360-degree swivel hook, are replaceable.
