The school district transformed two of its old school buses into classrooms that can be taken to schools and used by teachers.


Mr. Grinch grabbed the wheel of a Thomas Built Saf-T-Liner C2 in the Bel Air, Md., holiday parade. He represented Nelson Bus Company, Nelson Training Center, and Harford County Public Schools.


On Nov. 17 and 18, the Iowa Pupil Transportation Association sent representatives to the Iowa Association of School Boards Convention and Tradeshow.


Markie Bibb, who drives for the Fort Zumwalt (Mo.) School District, displays a sign in memory of Lance Cpl. Jared Schmitz. Winning entries in the 17th edition of School Bus Fleet’s Photo Contest reflect striking landscapes and the big yellow bus in nearly all seasons. These shots were selected from 66 total entries by SBF staff.


Spirits are high among students, school district staff, and drivers, as these photos capture special moments ranging from parades to sunrises and rainbows, to fun bus decorations, awards, unveilings, and donations.


Appreciation for pupil transporters abounded nationwide during Love the Bus month, with sweet treats, masks and hand sanitizer, certificates, and profiles detailing the extra contributions of some drivers during the pandemic.


Operations nationwide get creative this season amid pandemic restrictions, with decorated buses and trees, virtual student participation in a parade, and story time with "Santa."


Transportation teams in Connecticut and Virginia celebrate Thanksgiving by giving back to their communities, while one district in Texas hosts an annual staff appreciation event.


JFK Transportation in Santa Ana recently held a “Paint A Bus” contest with the theme “2020 Through the Eyes of a Student” and created wraps of the winning artwork for some of its buses.
