Read More →Troy Edward Daniels, a former Jordan (Utah) School District bus driver, was charged with misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment and failure to signal in connection with the death of a student riding his bus, who was struck by another bus as she crossed the street. After Daniels pulled over onto the shoulder to let students off the bus, police said, he allegedly chose not to activate the bus’s red lights and signals or stop sign because he needed to hand out flyers to the students.

An initial review ruled out an electrical short as the cause, and although other buses in the same lot were vandalized and damaged earlier last week, it is not clear whether the fire is related to that incident, officials said.

Read More →Pasco County (Fla.) Schools bus assistant James Lambert was charged with two counts of child abuse after allegedly striking a 10-year-old boy for cursing. The district had planned to start the process of terminating his employment, according to a spokeswoman. Lambert had been reprimanded multiple times in the past; however, in none of those instances was he accused of hitting a child.
