Zūm recently announced that starting this school year, Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) has expanded Zum CMX across its in-house school bus fleet, bringing the same technology powering Zūm-operated buses to district-operated vehicles.

The expansion creates a connected technology platform across LAUSD student mobility, providing greater visibility, coordination and operational intelligence regardless of who operates the bus.

Zum operates about 450 buses across 405 routes for LAUSD. For the 2026-2027 school year, the district expanded Zum's technology to its own fleet.
