PORTLAND, Ore. — Mobile Wi-Fi provider SinglePoint Communications has partnered with Passengera, a Prague-based technology provider that delivers an onboard infotainment platform for transportation operators.

The passenger engagement platform from Passengera is an all in one modular platform with automated features coupled with pricing to meet basic needs of any size transportation provider, according to SinglePoint. The system can contain defined infotainment modules, in-vehicle hardware, Wi-Fi connectivity, and internet connectivity in one box.

Passengera provides a business and communication platform between transportation operators and their passengers beyond onboard Wi-Fi by opening new revenue-generating opportunities and providing details about passengers’ needs and interests, according to SinglePoint. Passengera’s central cloud based management platform simplifies fleet and content management and is scalable.

“By combining either existing vehicle Wi-Fi infrastructure tethered to Passengera’s media server, or using their all-in-one platform, you can now deliver valuable things like scheduling information, ebooks, stream music, movies, news, interactive travel guides, points of interest information along routes, and more,” said SinglePoint Communications CEO Rob Taylo.

"Passengera’s platform can be integrated with any Wi-Fi installation and can provide Infotainment features on passenger’s devices (BYOD) and on screens in vehicles,” said Passengera CEO Jan Kolar. “With the expertise of SinglePoint Communication, we are now looking forward to delivering this new enhanced traveling experience to passengers in America."

The passenger infotainment solution will be on display at SinglePoint’s booth, 720, at the 2017 UMA Expo in St. Louis, Missouri, from Feb. 26 to March 2.
