Transfinder to host client conference
Event in July will provide the company’s pupil transportation software users with an opportunity to attend classroom and computer lab sessions, receive routing software certification and network with colleagues from around the country.
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Transfinder Corp. will hold its first National Client Conference July 8-10 at the Saratoga Hilton in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Keynote speakers include Mike Martin, executive director of the National Association for Pupil Transportation.
The conference is designed as a professional development experience for school district transportation officials who use Transfinder’s transportation management systems and software.
The conference will offer more than 30 classroom and hands-on computer lab sessions, and attendees will also have an opportunity to be certified in using the company’s routing and planning software.
Transfinder President and CEO Antonio Civitella said the company will unveil a new feature of its routing software at the conference.
To help school districts defray the cost of attendance, Transfinder held a geographic lottery to award scholarships to districts from across the country. Scholarships were given to a total of 30 clients representing 20 states.
"We believe this conference will provide not only a substantial professional development experience for our clients, it also offers a fantastic networking opportunity for them to exchange ideas and best practices in school transportation. To help those who want to attend and are facing financial restraints, we are offering a series of programs besides the scholarships to help defray the cost of attending," Civitella said.
Attendance for the conference is expected to reach about 150 to 200 people from close to 47 states.
