WARWICK, N.Y. — Type A school bus manufacturer Trans Tech Bus has organized a “Stuff the Bus” event to help people affected by Hurricane Sandy.
The event began on Nov. 4 and will run through Nov. 13. Trans Tech is encouraging local residents to drop off nonperishable dry goods to the company’s headquarters at 7 Lake Station Rd. in Warwick. The items will be delivered to charities and shelters that are helping victims of the super storm.

Company officials said that on the first day of donations, Trans Tech filled a 2013 Ford E350 ST AERO Series bus from floor to ceiling with canned foods, clothes, blankets, first aid supplies, diapers and pet food provided by businesses, residents and farmers.
