Trans Tech’s SST school bus has gone through Altoona STURAA testing, with results including an average miles per gallon of 9.60.
Type A school bus manufacturer Trans Tech Bus has appointed two new dealers for the Canadian market and has announced that its complete product line is now available in Canada.
Leeds Transit Sales in Elgin, Ontario, will cover Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces for Trans Tech. Western Canada IC Bus will cover the provinces of Manitoba, Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and the Northwest Territory.
“Our move into the Canadian market is exciting,” said Brian Barrington, Trans Tech’s national sales manager. “Even more exciting is the fact that we added, we feel, the top Canadian sales and service dealers to represent Trans Tech.”
In other news, Trans Tech’s SST bus model has gone through the Altoona STURAA (Surface Transportation and Uniform Relocation Assistance Act) testing.
According to the test results, “Durability driving resulted in no unscheduled maintenance or failures.” Also, average miles per gallon was tested at 9.60, with a high of 14.24 miles per gallon.
“The test results exceeded our expectations,” Barrington said. “What we have been saying about the Trans Tech product line being durable, reliable, as well as being the most fuel-efficient line of Type A school buses was validated during the Altoona testing.”
The bus was equipped with C.E. White Special Events seats mounted in Trans Tech’s Versa Track mounting system.
The entire test results can be found here.
