COQUITLAM, British Columbia — Seon announced on Monday that it has acquired the net assets of U.S. Computing Inc. (USCI), a commercial and school bus routing software provider.
Seon will maintain USCI's existing Columbia, South Carolina-based head office and sales office in Phoenix, Arizona, and will continue to develop, grow and support its web-based platform, company officials said.
“Seon has partnered with U.S. Computing over the past three years to combine our technologies to develop a truly integrated solution for school transportation safety,” said Tom Gill, president of Seon. “This acquisition is a natural progression of that partnership and an integral part of our long-term vision to become the leading supplier of safety solutions for fleet vehicles as part of the Safe Fleet family of brands.”
The acquisition complements Seon’s existing portfolio of video and fleet management products and will solidify its position in the school bus routing market, according to the supplier. Seon will continue to develop USCI’s web-based routing solutions under the vMax Compass brand and nurture existing customer relationships.
“We are extremely pleased with the acquisition,” said Neil Sengupta, owner of USCI. “Our existing customers will benefit from Seon’s track record of developing high-quality products and reputation for outstanding customer support.”
