CENTERVILLE, Ohio — A school bus driver here is also a published author, having recently written a book about her experiences driving buses, Dayton Daily News reports.
Therese Mileti, a bus driver for Centerville City Schools, kept notes of encounters with her students over the 15 years she has driven a school bus, according to the newspaper. With these, she created “School Bus Sass,” which is filled with stories of mischievous and tech-savvy students. Highlights include stories about imaginary mute buttons for loud students and discussions about pop singer Justin Bieber, Dayton Daily News reports.
Mileti, who decided to become a bus driver when she was looking for part-time work while her son was in school, told the newspaper that she considers her job to be the best job in the world. Her son is now a sophomore at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, but instead of returning to her previous career in retail, she applied for and was accepted to pursue her onboard instructor accreditation.
“School Bus Sass” is available at Amazon.com or at her website.
