Safety Vision announced this week that sales since its 1993 inception have topped the quarter-billion dollar mark.
Additionally, over the past month, the company has installed its 500,000th collision avoidance camera system, its 100,000th school bus recording system and its 40,000th public transit surveillance system.
Originally founded as a distributorship for rear-view camera systems, the company now provides a full array of mobile video products for vehicle fleets across market sectors.
Safety Vision designs, manufactures, sells, installs and services its own line of mobile-rated video camera and monitor kits featuring infrared technology, as well as digital onboard surveillance systems featuring wireless video and audio data collection and management.
Recent contracts in the public transit sector include a $1.5 million award from a new transit client in Massachusetts and a $1 million order from an established transit client in Oregon, officials say.
