“Early rain didn’t put a damper on what proved to be an outstanding day of competition,” NYSBCA President Bob Pape said. “All of these drivers exhibited incredible skill and attention to detail as their driving skills were put to the ultimate test.”
The day began with a written exam on school bus safety, and then went throughout the afternoon with drivers testing their skills in a variety of hands-on situations, including vehicle inspection, loading and unloading students, turning and stopping, and railroad crossings.
