ALBANY, N.Y. — The National Association for Pupil Transportation (NAPT) has released Professional Development Series (PDS) 402 “Managing Human Resources: Employee Relations” online.
The course is the first public offering of the NAPT PDS on its website. “Managing Human Resources: Employee Relations” offers an overview of human resource management for pupil transportation managers and supervisors, focusing on employee evaluation, training and discipline. The course also covers the "how-to" of developing accurate job descriptions.
NAPT is offering a special introductory price of $40 for the course for those who are among the first to try the training online.
To sign up, visit www.napt.org/online and add the course to your shopping cart. You will then be taken to an external website for payment processing. Make sure to enter the e-mail address where you’d like to receive your login information. Creating your account may take up to 24 hours, according to NAPT.
NAPT and its project partner, School Training Solutions, will be rolling out new courses in the PDS program online every month this year. Upon completion, there will be nearly 40 different classes for pupil transportation professionals to choose from.
More information on the NAPT PDS program, NAPT professional certification and NAPT member benefits can be found on the association’s website. For information about School Training Solutions, visit www.schooltrainingsolutions.com.
