ALBANY, N.Y. — A tentative conference agenda and a list of workshops that will be held at the 2010 National Association for Pupil Transportation (NAPT) Summit are now available on the association’s Website.
This year’s Summit will include more than three dozen workshops on an array of issues, such as managing human resources; establishing and evaluating key performance indicators and benchmarks; writing an effective bid; managing liability by mitigating risk; and developing an effective preventive maintenance plan.
Attendees will also be able to choose from more than a dozen different courses from the NAPT Professional Development Series (PDS). The courses will cover such topics as communication skills, transportation system infrastructure and school transportation security assessment.
Along with the workshops and the PDS courses, the Summit will feature the NAPT Trade Show. School bus manufacturers and school transportation vendors will display their products during the two-day event.
The 2010 NAPT Summit will be held Oct. 31 to Nov. 4 in Portland, Ore. The association said that online registration will be available in about a week.
