HATTIESBURG, Miss. — A new school bus safety initiative aimed at increasing training for bus drivers and raising public awareness of school bus safety laws was announced by state education and safety officials on Monday.
The Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol will spend the next several months gathering input from bus drivers to determine what information should be included in future trainings, according to Master Sgt. John Poulos, the Hattiesburg American reports. Poulos was among the officials who made the announcement on Monday.
