ALBANY, N.Y. — After eight years on the staff of the National Association for Pupil Transportation (NAPT), Lynn Martin will bid farewell to the association next week.
Martin joined NAPT as marketing and communications specialist in 2006. In that role, she oversaw marketing and communications efforts and was involved in planning and executing the association’s events.

Martin has contributed articles to SBF as part of the NAPT News & Views series. She has also written for an upstate New York business journal.
Before joining NAPT, Martin served as the executive director of a charitable foundation that provides funding for children and young adults with physical disabilities in the Saratoga Springs, N.Y., area.
NAPT said in an announcement on Tuesday that Martin has taken a position closer to home. Her last day with the association will be Jan. 24.
"It's been a privilege and an honor to serve an organization and an industry comprised of individuals so dedicated to student safety,” Martin said. “I may be leaving the transportation industry, but it will always be close to my heart."
