LONG BEACH, New York — Lancer Insurance Co. has won a top honor for fighting insurance fraud.
The company’s special investigation unit (SIU) has been named the 2016 SIU Department of the Year by the National Insurance Crime Bureau.
Lancer provides insurance coverage to the bus, motorcoach, and chauffeured transportation industries.
The National Insurance Crime Bureau award recognizes Lancer’s efforts to combat auto-related insurance fraud and its work with local, state, and federal authorities in the fight against this criminal activity, which is reportedly growing.
“Lancer is proud to receive this recognition as a standout SIU department alongside such insurance giants as GEICO, Allstate, and Hartford Insurance,” Lancer said in a statement, “and [we] promise our policyholders to keep aggressively fighting insurance fraud wherever we find it.”
