Rogan is director of safety and training at Chestnut Ridge Transportation. He has been active on the SBDI Advisory Committee since 2009.

“I am honored to serve as chairman of the SBDI Advisory Committee and look forward to sharing my expertise with fellow committee members as we review and develop curriculums aimed at maintaining the highest safety standards,” Rogan said. “The work we do impacts school transportation professionals throughout New York state whose job it is to ensure the safety of the children they transport each day.”

About 2.3 million children in the state ride school buses daily.

“I can think of no other job that carries such profound responsibility as safe pupil transportation,” Rogan added.

Prior to his appointment as SBDI Advisory Committee chairman, Rogan served on the following subcommittees: Curriculum Review (chairperson); RFP Advanced Course Review; RFP Basic Course Review; and PDS Curriculum Review.
