TORRANCE, Calif. — Enova Systems, developer of electric, hybrid and fuel cell digital power management systems, will display its ultra-capacitor technology for hybrid vehicles at the Electric Vehicle Symposium in Anaheim, Calif., Dec. 2 to 5.
The ultra-capacitor technology that will be displayed provides incremental starting energy to an electric motor and can capture a significant amount of regenerative braking energy.
IC Corporation's hybrid school bus will also be on display. The plug-in hybrid diesel-electric vehicle uses a diesel engine and Enova’s battery-powered electric drive.
Enova will also display its latest design of the Power Control Unit, which converts and regulates high-voltage power to lower voltages as required. Enova’s module transfers power throughout the drive system and the battery, and assists in energy recovery during regenerative braking.
