PLAINVIEW, N.Y. — Public transportation system technology provider Clever Devices Ltd. has purchased GreyHawk Technologies Inc.
GreyHawk, based in Vancouver, Wash., designs, develops and implements mobile applications for the transportation industry, with specific focus on school bus, paratransit and airport shuttle fleets.
Officials said that GreyHawk currently has thousands of Mobile Data Computer (MDC) systems in operation, most of which are installed in paratransit fleets.
“We are excited about the acquisition of GreyHawk,” said Frank Ingrassia, CEO of Clever Devices. “It is a key step forward in our growth plan and adds an important new line of products and services to our transit portfolio. We have partnered with GreyHawk in the past, and we know they have excellent technology and compatible values with ours.”
Tom Fleming, founder of GreyHawk, said that the merger will make both organizations stronger.
GreyHawk will continue to develop, service and support the MDC product line from its Vancouver office. Rob Dukes of Clever Devices will serve as division president, integrating GreyHawk’s products into the Clever Devices product line.
