NEW YORK — Karen Klein, the school bus monitor who received an outpouring of support after a video of her being harassed by students on a bus went viral, has started a foundation to stop bullying.
The Karen Klein Anti-Bullying Foundation is launching a music tour called the No Bully Tour 2012 to raise money for anti-bullying counseling in schools.
Other initiatives of the foundation include creating an educational curriculum on stopping bullying, supporting organizations that are raising awareness about the issue and developing new media assets to assist the anti-bullying cause.
Klein used $100,000 of the $703,873 raised for her by supporters to start the foundation. The foundation has been established as part of the GiveBack Foundation at giveback.org.
Along with the music tour, the Karen Klein Anti-Bullying Foundation will raise money to support Max Sidorov's 7 Million Acts of Love; Play Pretty, Play Pals Project; and Pacer Center's Teens Against Bullying.
