Ariz. district sees increased savings with propane buses

A new case study reveals that Mesa Public Schools’ Blue Bird Propane-Powered Micro Bird Type A school buses and six Blue Bird Propane-Powered Vision Type C units are yielding a savings of 32.6 cents per mile. In February, the district reported a savings of 25.1 cents per mile with the Type A buses.

Canada strives to reduce vehicle emissions

Regulations proposed by Environmental Minister Peter Kent are expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions of large pickup trucks, short/long-haul tractors, cement and garbage trucks, buses and more, for model year 2014 and beyond. The regulations are part of the country's overall climate change strategy, which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 17 percent from 2005 levels by 2020.
