The city of Bonner Springs in Kansas declares Monday “First Responders Day” to recognize the more than 60 men and women who came to the aid of those involved in the crash last week. The individuals, who ranged from police officers to paramedics to civilians, rescued everyone on the bus.

Teen allegedly attacks bus driver after stop-arm running

Bus driver Alvin Lanning had stopped to pick up students when a white BMW passed his bus, so he later wrote down the vehicle’s license plate number to turn in for a traffic violation. The teen driver saw this, and according to a report given to Orange County sheriff’s deputies, he confronted Lanning, punching him in the face and taking his glasses.

Suffolk Transportation unveils $6 million school bus hub

Officials say that once it’s finished, the seven-acre hub in Brookhaven, N.Y., will help to generate 150 new jobs at the site. In addition to the new 20,000-square foot maintenance, dispatching and training facility, there is a new fueling station, and the company will demolish an outdated structure on the site to make room for more vehicles.
