The contractor donated 10 buses and drivers to transport participants of the Special Olympics of Illinois’ annual Torch Run Plane Pull. Teams from local law enforcement agencies and the general public participated in a tug-of-war challenge on Saturday against an Airbus A300 aircraft weighing more than 180,000 pounds.

Scarlotte Freeman was allegedly following the bus for no apparent reason just yards away from Henry F. Moss Middle School in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The bus driver immediately notified staff in the bus garage, who contacted school personnel, who worked with the police department. Police charged Freeman with disorderly conduct and harassment and spoke to four children who said Freeman tried to lure them into her vehicle.

Read More →A judge denied a request for a description of injuries sustained by the alleged victim of James Lambert, a former Pasco County (Fla.) School District bus aide charged with two counts of felony child abuse for slapping a boy with autism. The judge told Lambert’s attorney the question of whether the slaps amount to felony child abuse should be decided by the jury.

The day after the announcement, the 40-attendee maximum had been reached. However, two more editions of the event are planned for 2015.

The visit also included an inspection of five new custom-made All American transit buses engineered for the Georgia Department of Corrections.
Read More →Troy Edward Daniels, a former bus driver for Jordan School District in Utah, is sentenced to a year in jail in connection with a student who was hit and killed by another bus after exiting his bus when Daniels failed to activate his red lights and signals or stop arm. He pleaded guilty as charged to class A misdemeanor reckless endangerment and class C misdemeanor failure to signal.
