Love the Bus Month is here! Every February, people across America take time to reflect on the importance of the yellow school bus in their communities. Whether it’s because the bus continues to serve children rain or shine, or because it’s a bright yellow beacon for students as they stand at their bus stop in the morning, people have a lot of love for the bus.

Molly McGee-Hewitt

“I think Love the Bus month is a fantastic way for our members to celebrate the profession! School busses are one of the most iconic symbols in education. This celebration enables us to honor and celebrate the outstanding work of school transportation personnel and the outstanding safety record of our industry. Whether it is home to school transportation, extracurricular services or services to our special education students, local district busses safely and efficiently transport students every day!”

"What endures with me is the how the bus ride in the morning can really shape how a child’s day starts out as well as some of the tremendously positive interactions and relationships between driver and students that have occurred."

-Tim Flood
Executive Vice President, The Trans Group

Curt Macysyn

"We love the yellow bus because it provides access to education for so many students. The positive bonds that schoolchildren form while traveling on a yellow bus often last a lifetime."
