Six school districts from across North America have won Transfinder's third annual Top Transportation Teams award, including one school district that took home the prize last year and another returning winner from 2023.
Winners are located in five states.
Since its inception, winners have been divided into two categories: teams with 100 or more members and teams with fewer than 100 members.
Winners in the 100-plus category are: Hoover City Schools in Alabama, Prosper ISD in Texas, and Goddard Public Schools in Kansas.
Winners in the under 100 category are: Pembroke Central School District in New York, Wa-Nee Community Schools in Indiana, and Franklin Square Union Free School District in New York.
Wa-Nee also won last year, while Pembroke CSD won in 2023.
Now in its third year, the Top Transportation Teams program is seeing growing enrollment from school districts.
Winners were determined solely by anonymous survey results. Team members answered questions related to their department, such as leadership, career development, resources, and incentives.
“The Top Transportation Teams program continues to grow, a sign that there was a void that needed filling,” said Antonio Civitella, president and CEO of Transfinder, a transportation logistics software and hardware company that oversees the program. “Hearing the stories from districts on how they work together, build culture and go above and beyond the call of duty has been inspiring to so many. We know this program is not just giving these teams the recognition they deserve but also is playing a role in helping transportation operations improve how they serve their communities.”
