LISLE, Ill. — On Tuesday, IC Bus announced that Western Canada Bus is the recipient of its North American School Bus 2014 Dealer of the Year award.

The award focuses on excellence in dealership performance, as well as industry and community leadership.

“This award is the highest honor an IC Bus dealer can achieve,” said Trish Reed, vice president and general manager of IC Bus. “The Dealer of the Year award recognizes the effort and dedication of all the dealership’s employees, the commitment to growing their business and the recognition by customers as the dealership of choice in their market.”

Western Canada Bus was founded in 2007, and has since delivered thousands of buses to customers throughout Western Canada.

IC Bus recently recognized the dealership with its “Pursuit of Excellence” award for the second time, acknowledging Western Canada Bus for outstanding growth and exceptional customer service. Western Canada Bus is actively involved in supporting its local community organizations, including the Community Kitchen Program in Calgary, Alberta, an organization dedicated to educating underprivileged children and adults on nutritional health issues and providing a means to access healthy foods.

“Our dealers consistently go beyond the bus itself to provide exceptional service and support that customers demand and deserve,” Reed added. “We are proud to recognize Western Canada Bus for their commitment to their customers throughout 2014.”

IC Bus 2014 Dealer of the Year nominees included Timmons Truck Center of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Leonard Bus Sales Inc. of Deposit, New York; and Midwest Transit Equipment of Kankakee, Illinois. All of the nominees have been recognized for their efforts to improve sales and customer satisfaction.
