K.E.I. Products manufactures J-180 and pad-mount alternators specifically designed for high output, company officials said.
The lineup includes 200; 250; 290; 340; 350; 375; 400; and 435 amp 14-volt models, internally or externally regulated.
K.E.I. stators are hand wound at its production plant. To eliminate stator failure, the supplier said it uses 11-gauge and dual 12-gauge wire. K.E.I. rotors are also designed to be balanced for increased bearing life.
Additionally, K.E.I. uses NTN bearings with large cartridge, high-temperature Kyodo-Yushi grease and double seals to help contribute to long bearing life, company officials said.
