HUDSON, Wis. — On Oct. 16, Superintendent of Schools Mary Bowen-Eggebraaten released a suspicious person alert for the Hudson School District, describing an incident in which the driver of an unmarked small yellow school bus tried to pick up elementary students at their bus stop.
According to the statement, the female driver told students she was picking them up because the regular bus had broken down. The students did not board the bus and are safe, and law enforcement and school staff have been notified. The district has also requested additional police surveillance around the schools during bus pick-up and drop-off times.
