School bus safety technology company Transportant has launched Transportant Solutions, a service for school districts that helps them manage the complexities and challenges of providing school transportation by maximizing efficiencies and student safety through technology.
Transportant Solutions consultants include experienced transportation managers and technology experts who can identify new opportunities and prevent and address challenges for districts that want to maximize technology to enhance safety, increase efficiency, and strengthen communications between parents, schools, and students.
The service is exclusively available to districts that use Transportant technology.
Consultations will be available for:
Route Creation: Annual route creation and optimization in July/August; weekly route list updates on required students, riders, and stops; and summer school route creation each May.
System Monitoring: Ongoing monitoring and maintenance of hardware and bus lot and on-bus Wi-Fi; proactive monthly camera audits; monitoring and updates to data import status.
Monthly Route Performance Insights: Identifying late and early route trends and route improvement opportunities; providing tips on maximizing the technology’s functionality and leveraging new or unused functions; and monitoring events for system performance enhancement opportunities.
Districts in four states have already signed on with Transportant Solutions, including in Arkansas, where Berryville, a school district of four schools, 28 buses, and more than 1,800 students, was the first to leverage the services.
“Berryville is a progressive district, interested in best practices, new ideas, and tech advancements for safety and productivity," said Martin Staples, CEO of Transportant. "It is augmenting its transportation department and gaining access to what we see across the more than 2,800 school buses that transport 300,000 students each day using Transportant technology. We act as an extension of the school’s team, which is ideal for smaller districts or any district that is struggling with resources.”
