TransAct, a company that provides operational and compliance software for the education sector, has entered into a joint venture with Geo Data Intelligence Corporation to bring the EZTransportation management platform to the K-12 market.

According to a news release, the agreement allows TransAct to acquire Geo Data Intelligence’s AI-enabled EZRouting technology, previously sold as TravelTracker-Routing by TransAct. The new partnership combines Geo Data Intelligence’s understanding of challenges faced by school district transportation teams with TransAct’s go-to-market expertise.

EZTransportation uses AI to help districts:

• Manage transportation program planning and scheduling.

• Daily route management.

• Driver time tracking.

• School and parent communication.

• Fleet maintenance.

• Activity trip coordination.
