Thomas Built Names New General Manager of Customer Experience and Service
Anca Matache fills a role that the company describes as critical to providing exceptional service through robust processes.

School bus manufacturer Thomas Built Buses has appointed Anca Matache as the company's new general manager of customer experience and service. In a LinkedIn post, the role is described as "critical in providing exceptional service through robust processes and understanding of the customer and dealer journey maps."
"I am thrilled to have Anca join the leadership team at this pivotal point in the transportation industry," said Daoud Chaaya, vice president of sales, aftermarket and marketing for Thomas Built. "Demand for Thomas’ traditional-fueled buses is strong, while adoption for our Jouley is ramping up fast. Anca brings a successful track record in developing top-performing teams through creating an inclusive and collaborative environment. Leveraging her cross-functionally diverse background to drive results allows her to passionately serve our dealers and customers, making her uniquely qualified for this role.”
Matache, who has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Oakland University and a master's in automotive engineering from the University of Michigan, previously had been a product planning head at Thomas Built and a manager with Daimler Trucks North America.
