Thomas Built Buses reveals new tech training dates
Three sessions of Thomas Built Institute Service Training will be offered in 2016, including a new Canadian edition.

Participants in the Thomas Built Institute Service Training will earn 28 continuing education credit hours.

Thomas Built Buses will offer three sessions of its Thomas Built Institute Service Training this year, including a new Canadian edition.
The school bus OEM will bring the technician training program to Winnipeg, Manitoba, April 19-21, during the Canadian Pupil Transportation Conference.
Later in the year, two Thomas Built Institute sessions will be held stateside: Service Training East, May 17-20 in Greensboro, North Carolina, and Service Training West, Aug. 16-18 in Denver, Colorado.
“Our hands-on technician training is always popular,” said Mike Stotler, service education manager for Thomas Built Buses. “We are pleased to be able to add a Canadian location to our Institute round-up. Participants this year again can expect hands-on experience and the opportunity to brush up on their skills in less than a week.”
Participating technicians will be able to focus on either Type C or Type D models and will earn 28 continuing education credit hours.
The 2016 Thomas Built Institute curriculum will cover such topics as EPA emissions, advanced electrical, coolant, seating systems, wheelchair lifts, Allison transmissions, electrical resources and electrical charging systems.
To register for the Canadian session, go to the Thomas Built Institute sign-up page. Early enrollment is recommended, because classes fill up quickly. Registration is limited to 100 participants.
The cost is $325, which includes lunch and ground transportation. Registration for the Canadian session closes March 18.
