WALL, N.J. — Student Transportation of America Ltd. (STA) has leased an approximately two-acre industrial yard in North Hollywood, Calif., that will serve as home to about 71 alternative-fuel school buses.
The move was made as part of the company’s five-year contract with Los Angeles Unified School District to provide transportation services to students living in the San Fernando Valley area beginning in the 2009-10 school year.
Don Archer of NAI Capital represented STA in the five-year lease of the yard, which cost approximately $1.8 million.
“NAI Capital has done an excellent job finding us a facility in this environmentally sensitive area of Southern California,” said Alan Kirking, regional vice president of operations for STA. “We are committed to seeking new opportunities for ‘greener’ operations in the yellow school bus industry.”
NAI Capital is a commercial real estate firm headquartered in Encino, Calif.
