Special-needs bus struck by drunken driver
ADELANTO, Calif. — A bus carrying three special-needs children was struck and overturned by a drunken driver in mid-June. The children, who were wearing seat belts, were not seriously injured, and the bus driver was able to carry them off of the bus through the rear emergency exit before authorities arrived. Drivers quit over bus maintenance concerns
SHERWOOD PARK, Alberta — Seventeen special-needs bus drivers for a local school district quit their jobs in early June. One driver cited concerns over the maintenance of the buses as the reason for their collective resignation. Bus company officials said that the buses are well maintained.
