PRINCETON, N.J. — When two students aboard her school bus showed kindness and support to a fellow student who has difficulty walking, the bus driver let their parents know in a touching letter, Today reports.
School bus driver Cindy Clausen recently wrote to the parents of Annaliese and Jorge to tell them “how beautiful your children are, inside and out!" She explained how they support Jaxson Blue, a 7-year-old student who has a degenerative condition, every day by asking to sit with him. She added that on that day, “Annaliese looked out from around her seat and said, 'Come on Jaxson, you can do it,' and when we arrived at school, Jorge took it upon himself to carry out his backpack.”
The letter is posted on the Love What Matters Facebook page, and as of Friday, it had received more than 45,000 likes and had been shared more than 3,000 times.
Clausen told Today that she wanted to write the note because Jaxson was a little slow and sad that morning, and “the kids already on the bus just took it upon themselves to support Jaxson with their kind words and actions. It totally warmed my soul and made me feel so proud of all of them!"
