School bus documentary to premiere at film festival
"La Camioneta: The Journey of One American School Bus," will premiere as an official selection at the 2012 SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas, in March. The film follows a retired school bus on its journey from an auction in Pennsylvania to a highland town outside of Guatemala City.
AUSTIN, Texas — The film "La Camioneta: The Journey of One American School Bus," will have its world premiere as an official selection at the 2012 SXSW Film Festival here in March.
The film is one of two documentaries selected to screen in the festival's "Emerging Visions" program.
SBFinterviewed director Mark Kendall about the project in April 2011. The documentary follows a retired school bus on its journey from an auction in Pennsylvania to a highland town outside of Guatemala City.
